Platform Overview

SAFARI-D is a 4×4 tactical combat vehicle designed for battlefield mobility, personnel transport, and autonomous anti-aircraft machine gun operation. The vehicle accommodates a crew and personnel configuration of 3 + 6 people, with a separate landing party capacity of 6 people. It features 7.62 mm ballistic protection and mine protection rated at 600 g TNT.

The vehicle is powered by a Deutz engine producing up to 190 hp and uses an Allison automatic transmission. Its equipped weight is 9.5 tons, with a maximum highway speed of 100 km/h and a highway range of up to 560 km.

The armament system is an autonomous closed-type anti-aircraft machine gun platform compatible with KT-12.7, NSVT KT-12.7, or Browning M2 12.7 mm machine guns. Ammunition capacity is 450 rounds, with traverse angles from −7° to +70° vertically and 360° horizontally.
